"Upon retirement we had a lovely small log home built and our log provider recommended Sashco products for staining and chinking. After talking to Nick in Denver who was great help he suggested we go with Montana Specialty Log Homes out of Heron Montana. Nelson Troyer came and met with us and listened to what we wanted. We ended up with great contrast and a beautiful home. We left the inside natural color and stained the beams dark as well as the door frames. Went with black windows and dark window trim outside. “We just had them replace the existing rustic log railing on our cabin deck. The job was made more difficult by the fact that the new rails and posts had to be custom crafted to fit exactly into the existing post mounting spaces. That involved selecting the proper diameter logs for posts which then resulted in an exact spacing for each span. The end result was beautiful new railing installed very efficiently and professionally by Nelson’s crew! Great job.”

"I am over 50 years old and never wrote a testimonial in my life…frankly I did not put much faith in them. However, I live in Florida and am trying to build a log home on Deer Island outside of Clark Fork, ID. I had a general contractor that was subcontracting many of the building processes until he left Idaho to seek fortunes on the gas pipeline in North Dakota. He took some of my money with him. So now I am the general contractor and I have to find a log cabin expert, plumbers, electricians, etc to finish this home. And much to my amazement in walks Nelson Troyer with Montana Specialty Log Construction. Trying to build a home 3000 miles away has its challenges and being the general contractor the most important attribute of builder is integrity and their quality of work. See Nelson Troyer. Nelson does the highest of quality for log home construction. Nelson has creative ideas and great suggestions that I never even thought of. Nelson estimates jobs for me and sends me money back if he ends up doing it for a lesser price.
